Based in Abuja Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria, the Humanity Knights Network is a non-religious, not-for-profit, non-government organisation. Founded by a legal practitioner and distinguished humanitarian award-winning activist Utim Benjamin Terhemen, the organisation became registered as a corporate body by the Corporate Affairs Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on 11th August 2004.
The primary objective of the Humanity Knights Network is the promotion of positive endeavours to prevent/resolve violent conflict and achieve sustainable peace within Nigeria specifically, and the African continent in general.
Administration of the day-to-day affairs of the Humanity Knights Network is entirely voluntary and primarily conducted by organisational members. As a non-profit organisation, the contributions of volunteers are heavily relied on, with numerous volunteers from around the world providing support and assistance through engagement in a variety of projects.
The Humanity Knights Network is dependent solely on donations and financial gifts in order to develop and implement its projects. Only those financial gifts from donors or organisations perceived to espouse similar aims and objectives of the Humanity Knights Network may be accepted.
